Let’s get personal with Enneagram😈

Enneagram speaks of the fears, motivations that we might not know of. Here are the brief explanation of each types:

Type 1: The Perfectionist (Reformer)

  • Core Desire: To be good, ethical, and have integrity.
  • Core Fear: Being wrong, corrupt, or imperfect.
  • Key Traits: Principled, organized, self-critical. They strive for improvement and tend to have a strong sense of right and wrong.

Type 2: The Helper (Giver)

  • Core Desire: To be loved and appreciated.
  • Core Fear: Being unwanted or unloved.
  • Key Traits: Caring, supportive, generous. Helpers focus on meeting others’ needs but may neglect their own or become dependent on others’ approval.

Type 3: The Achiever (Performer)

  • Core Desire: To feel valuable and worthwhile.
  • Core Fear: Being worthless or a failure.
  • Key Traits: Success-oriented, adaptable, ambitious. Achievers are driven to excel and often enjoy recognition for their accomplishments.

Type 4: The Individualist (Romantic)

  • Core Desire: To find their true identity and be authentically themselves.
  • Core Fear: Having no identity or significance.
  • Key Traits: Creative, sensitive, introspective. Individualists are often deeply emotional and seek uniqueness in everything they do.

Type 5: The Investigator (Thinker)

  • Core Desire: To be competent and self-sufficient.
  • Core Fear: Being overwhelmed, useless, or incapable.
  • Key Traits: Analytical, curious, independent. Investigators seek knowledge and often prefer solitude to recharge their energy.

Type 6: The Loyalist (Skeptic)

  • Core Desire: To feel secure and supported.
  • Core Fear: Being without guidance or support, fear of uncertainty.
  • Key Traits: Responsible, loyal, cautious. Loyalists are security-driven and may overthink potential threats or uncertainties.

Type 7: The Enthusiast (Adventurer)

  • Core Desire: To be happy, fulfilled, and free.
  • Core Fear: Being deprived or in pain.
  • Key Traits: Fun-loving, spontaneous, optimistic. Enthusiasts are constantly seeking new experiences and hate feeling trapped or limited.

8. The Challenger (Protector)

  • Core Desire: To be in control and protect themselves.
  • Core Fear: Being controlled or harmed.
  • Key Traits: Confident, assertive, decisive. Challengers like to take charge and confront challenges head-on, often standing up for themselves and others.

9. The Peacemaker (Mediator)

  • Core Desire: To have inner peace and harmony.
  • Core Fear: Conflict and disconnection.
  • Key Traits: Easygoing, accepting, adaptable. Peacemakers avoid conflict at all costs and are great at seeing multiple perspectives but can lose touch with their own needs.

Tritypes!?!?

Tritypes aren’t the core type but the types that you relate to a lot aside from your main primary type. One way to find this is to find which types you relate to other than your main type:D

Remember triads? If you have your type in the head triad, the rest of your subtypes should be in the gut and heart triad. For example: 728

Enneagrams are split up into three triads:

Gut: 8-9-1, The Heart: 2-3-4, and The Head: 5-6-7.
